The staff were wonderful! Everyone was friendly, smiling, efficient and willing to help in any way. I also thought the bar was lovely (fabulous cocktails!), the beds were the most comfortable I've ever slept in and the location was perfect for both the sea and for the town.
The room we were first given was very very small - but as soon as we pointed this out we were told we could move into a bigger one the next day.
I stay in hotels Monday to Friday most of the year and the Kings is one of the best I have stayed in when you factor in everything from value for money to standards - well done from a seasoned business traveller
It was lovely to relax with everything we wanted in walking distance. The car stayed in the car park all the time. All the staff were pleasant and helpful and the food was excellent.
Very clean smart hotel. Staff very helpful and very pleasant.
More staff needed at meal times. Only one member of staff on at breakfast time. Had to wait a long time for our meal. Why not have a small buffet breakfast set out instead of having to order food.
This was a short stay for us, but we enjoyed it immensely, the Kings Hotel is central, and staff very pleasant and helpful, we would certainely return to this hotel.
The room was lovely and centeral to travel to places
the bathroom sink plugs could be easier to use
We were last the hotel 40 years ago on our honeymoon and returned for our ruby anniversary, the only thing the same was the front door but it has been modernised beautifully and everything was perfect.
The only problem was the parking, we were lucky to have friends who picked us up each day so we didn't have to move the car but it still had a dent in the side.a
I like bedroom - window brighten, TV on wall, we watched 'Dambuster' film late night after the party. Tea / coffee plentyful with milk and water in the mini bar free.
Bath only is very high sharp edging. Plug when press and sometimes plug out when foot touch.
It was in the center of Christchurch and close to Christchurch Priory. Near sailing facilities. Reception staff very good as I had a guide dog.
There is no porter and a very small lift. car parking is either through a security gate or on the oposite side of a busy road. Some bar staff needed extra training. It would help ihotel info said that the rooms were not suitable for older or slightly disabled as the baths were very deep, no handles to hold when showering, no shower mat, and no where to put soap etc.
the staff were all very nice and polite the room was very nice breakfast choice was good
Great hotel, lovely rooms, friendly staff and a nice location.
Small downside were the parking facilities but it wasn't a huge problem. Also, the rooms seemed quite hot which was a surprise for mid June!
The room was lovely, although compact. We had a low cost room I cannot imagine what the higher cost ones were like. The bed and pillows were really soft and extreemly comfortable. The bath/shower was big and very roomy - a proper soak. The complimentary shower and soap products were natural and lovely. The breakfast was suptuous and filling - the kipper on the menu was huge. All in all an excellent stay and value for money. Some of my family stayed at another hotel and paid the same price and received less value for money . I would highly recommend it.
Fantastic value for money, would have no hesitation in booking again
Rooms and whole hotel recently renovated to high standard. Not too big, good location, quiet in terms of traffic and V. helpful staff. Restaurant of reasonably high standard and good value. Own parking. Has lift.
The attic rooms on third floor, while well equipped and modern, are terribly hot in warm weather. Hotel cannot install air con because it's a listed building and the windows will only partially open because of safety features which can't, apparently, be removed even though you'd have to work quite hard to throw yourself out of them. I wouldn't stay in one of these rooms again outside of deepest winter unless I wanted a sleepless night. Was like trying to sleep in the tropics.
The bed was amazingly comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. Lots of choices and cooked to perfection! A little pricey but I liked the size of the hotel......it wasn't too big! We will look for offers and come again ....maybe if the price was right.... Stay a little longer. If I stayed for 3 nights....I Could go to Spain for l week with food!!!
The price was alittle too much....around £70 or £80 pound for the room we had ....in the attic....it was a little hot!
